From O'Hare International Airport: Take I-190 to I-90 East to Downtown Chicago. Exit Ohio Street. Turn left on State Street. The hotel is located on the left side of State Street.

From Midway Airport: Exit Midway and proceed north on Cicero Avenue to I-55 North. Take I-55 North to I-90 / 94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Exit Ohio Street. Turn left on State Street. The hotel is located on the left side of State Street.

From the South (Kankakee, Champaign / Urbana): Take I-55 North to I-94 / 90 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Follow to Downtown. Exit Ohio Street to State Street (5 blocks). Turn left on State Street. Embassy Suites is on the left.

From the Southeast (Northwest Indiana / Indianapolis): Take I-65 North to I-90 West (Indiana Toll Road).Continue on I-90 West to I-94 / 90 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Follow to Downtown. Exit Ohio Street to State Street (5 blocks). Turn left on State Street. Embassy Suites is on the left.

From the North (Wisconsin / Northern Suburbs): Take I-94 East (Edens Expressway) to I-94 / 90 East (Kennedy Expressway). Follow to Downtown. Exit Ohio Street to State Street (6 blocks). Turn left on State Street. Embassy Suites is on the left.

Parking

The Embassy Suites Chicago - Downtown has its own onsite parking facility, with overflow arrangements for additional vehicles. All parking is Valet Only. No self-parking is available on site. Our garage is open 24 hours daily.

Parking Rate for Overnight Guests: Effective, June 15, 2007, $40 per day with unlimited in and out privileges for a standard sized passenger vehicle or SUV. This rate is valid until 3 p.m. the day of departure. After 3 p.m., regular hourly rates apply.

Height Restriction: The largest vehicle we may park onsite is 6'8" tall. Most vehicles between 6' 8" and 7' tall may be parked at an offsite garage charging $45 per day. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate vehicles over 7' tall.

Size Restrictions: Any vehicle not fitting into a regular parking space -- such as tandem axel trucks -- will be charged for two spaces at the appropriate rate. Vehicles towing trailers will be charged for two spaces, as the trailer will need to be detached prior to parking.

Overflow Parking: The hotel garage has a limited number of spaces. Extra vehicles are parked at a nearby indoor garage. We reserve the right to park any vehicle at the overflow garage.

The acceptance of our parking ticket constitutes an Agreement between the Vehicle Owner and Management: (1) Management is not responsible for loss or damage to any vehicle as a result of fire, theft, ordinary or gross negligence, or otherwise unless it shall appear that the loss or damage was caused by the willful act or misappropriation on the part of Management or its employees. (2) Management is not responsible for articles or any personal property left in vehicles. Please remove anything of value from your vehicle including money, CD's, sunglasses, merchandise & jewelry. (3) All claims for adjustment must be presented before the vehicle leaves the parking facility. Once a vehicle leaves the facility, it is difficult to prove where damage occurred. Please inspect your car before departing. (4) Employees are not authorized to change the terms of this Agreement.

By Taxi from Midway Airport: At designated staging area

By Taxi from Union Station & Ogilvie Transportation Center, serving Amtrak and suburban commuter lines: At each main exit.

Airport Express

GO Airport Express GO Airport Express services downtown hotels from both O'Hare and Midway Airports. Vans depart every 15 minutes from baggage claim areas at both O''Hare & Midway Airports.

Subway / CTA

Trains run approximately every 10 minutes. Schedules change slightly after midnight and on weekends.

From Midway: Take orange line to State and Lake. Go through turnstile and get free transfer. Walk 1/2 block south on State to Howard Line North. Exit at State and Grand Avenue. Walk one block North to Hotel. Approx. 45-50 minutes.

From O'Hare: Take O'Hare - Congress line to Jackson Street. Exit train and follow stairwell down to signs for the Howard - Dan Ryan Train. Take Howard Train North to Grand Avenue. Hotel is one block North. Approx. 45 minutes. The Washington Street station is temporarily closed for construction until further notice. It is not possible to transfer there.

Walking Directions From Train Stations (For those who like to walk! However, we recommend a taxi from the Union or Ogilvie stations.)

From Union Station (Approximately 1.5 miles): Go East on Madison to State Street. Go North on State Street to hotel. Approximately 35 minutes.

From Ogilvie Transportation Center (Approximately 1.5 miles): Go East on Madison to State Street. Go North on State Street to hotel. Approximately 35 minutes.

From Grand Avenue CTA Station (One block): Go North on State Street for one block to hotel.
